I’ve written before about my annoyance at art museums, when the crowd is so large that it becomes difficult to enjoy the work. I’m not sure that Art Project can yet replace the physical experience of viewing a painting or other visual work, but in some ways it is indeed better. Judge for yourself:

At first I was excited about the prospects of seeing great art up close. But, after awhile it became somewhat frustrating, because what appears, at first, to be unrestricted exploration, turned out to be just the opposite. I have not return since that initial experience, which I find surprising, but I guess exploring art is more than just seeing detail that the original artist probably never saw.
